If you're looking for a fine dining experience right here on the Southside then look no further than Ruby Ladle. The food is exquisite, we had crab cake, salad and the filet and they were all perfectly prepared but the star of the show IMO was the bread pudding for dessert. Our server Rudy was impeccable, attentive but not obnoxious. Everything about this visit just worked. Highly recommend.

This is our favorite date-night and fine dining spot in Corpus Christi. The atmosphere is intimate and upscale without feeling stuffy or pretentious—you can walk in wearing jeans and still feel completely comfortable. Every dish we’ve tried has been exceptional, with unique flavors and creative combinations that stand out from anything else we’ve had in the area. The food is consistently phenomenal, the service is excellent, and every visit feels like a special occasion.

I CANNOT recommend this place enough! They recommend making a reservation ahead of time, but I even called on a Saturday night while we were on the way, hoping they could accommodate us and they did! I had the BEST birthday dinner and it was totally on a whim. Thank you to our AMAZING and sweet server Luna (a little bit Alexis😉) for the most wonderful, cozy and DELICIOUS dinner experience. For our starter, we ordered the Shrimp & Roasted Garlic Crostinis (omg), for our entrees, my husband ordered the Filet Marchand De Vin and I ordered the Seared Duck with Dark Cherry Bigerade. Finally, for dessert we opted for the Flourless Chocolate Torte and the Crème Brûlée. If you haven’t tried this place, RUN!!! I can’t get over how divine every course of our meal was! And they spoiled me with a rose and a card signed by the entire staff.

From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted with a smile and shown to our reserved table. The atmosphere was romantic and homey. For starters, we had the tuna tostadas which were absolutely mouth watering perfectly balanced so delicious. I definitely recommend you have to try them if they are on the menu when you go as well as the chicken and andouille sausage gumbo, which was also absolutely amazing. And then for my entrée, I did the chef special which was halibut seared served over a wild rice with a sauce, and oh my goodness it was so buttery and delicious I kept going back for more until I was absolutely stuffed. I definitely recommend the Ruby Ladle if you are a local, tourist or visitor you must check out this beautiful restaurant created by chef Michael Scott Smith and wife, Jessica Smith! Thank you so much for the wonderful evening and dinner.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Our server Violet was perfect and very nice throughout our dinner. We came here to celebrate our engagement and we are so glad we did. We did not know where to go in town but the great reviews helped us find this place. The food was amazing and we couldn't stop talking about the gumbo which was incredible! We were also very satisfied with not just the quality of food but the quantity as well. You definitely get your money's worth. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a romantic and delicious dinner! Wish I could give more stars!
